This explains what PepLive collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account: your email, name, handle and bio. Sign-in is handled by our login provider (Clerk).
- Content: videos, cover images, captions, comments, and the products you tag.
- Activity: likes, saves, follows, reports, blocks, video views, and taps on Buy buttons.
- Creators who earn: the payout handle you give us (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle or PayPal), and the commission records for orders attributed to your videos.
- Technical: a random session ID stored on your device, and standard server logs (IP address, browser).
We do not collect payment card details — purchases happen on the brand's own website.
How attribution works
When you tap Buy, PepLive records the tap and adds a reference code to the brand's link. If you complete a purchase, the brand tells PepLive the order number, the order subtotal and whether it was paid or refunded — so the creator can be paid. Brands do not send us your name, address or what else was in your order.
Who we share with
- Service providers that run PepLive: hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), video storage, and sign-in (Clerk).
- Brands receive only the reference code on the link you tapped.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We don't sell your personal information.
Keeping and deleting
Delete your account from Settings at any time. We remove your profile, videos, comments, likes and follows. Commission and payout records are kept for up to 7 years for tax and accounting, then deleted.
Age
PepLive is for adults 21+. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger; if we learn of it, we delete the account.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing support@peplive.app. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have these rights by law; we extend them to everyone.
